Suzuki has confirmed updated versions of its Swift Sport hatchback and quirky compact Ignis SUV will arrive in Australia during May.
The new Swift Sport will gain safety equipment such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, bringing it into line with the new Ford Fiesta ST and Volkswagen Polo GTI.

A digital speedo has also been added to the spec sheet, along with a two-tone orange/black paint finish.
Power still comes from a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine making 103kW and 230Nm, put to the front wheels through a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Although that doesn’t sound like much, the Swift Sport weighs less than a tonne.

Meanwhile, the 2020 Ignis wears a tougher new look.
The bumpers are new, and the grille has been given an off-road ready makeover – there’s more than just a hint of Jeep about it – and Ivory, Khaki, and Black paint options have been added.
Pricing for both cars has yet to be confirmed.
