Porsche doesn’t know how to sit still.
The next-generation 911 GT3 is expected to launch overnight, but that hasn’t stopped the 2021 Porsche 911 GTS from making an appearance – complete with the first signs of a facelift for the wider 992-generation 911 range.
In Australia, the GTS will be the only non-motorsports Porsche 911 offered with a manual transmission.

Although European buyers can order the 911 Carrera and Carrera S with three pedals and a stick, low take-up on the previous-generation car in Australia has pushed Porsche to limit its availability this time around.
A better-specced, slightly more powerful Carrera, the previous GTS had 22kW and 50Nm more power than the S on which it was based, and featured a raft of chassis upgrades as standard.
It will be available in coupe, convertible, and Targa bodies.

Beyond its extra performance and slightly tougher look, the GTS on show here hides a few more secrets.
Our spy photographers note the dashboard on this GTS tester is covered up, suggesting Porsche has already started working on a facelift for the 992-generation 911 range.
