Local specifications for the enhanced 2022 Lexus ES range have been announced ahead of its September 29 on-sale date.
Lexus Australia has essentially doubled its offering by adding a new ES250 entry-level powertrain variant in multiple trim levels, joining the existing ES300h hybrid family.
The new ES250 draws upon a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine developing 152kW of power and 243Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
If those figures sound familiar, it’s because it’s the same direct-injected four-pot used in the Toyota RAV4 Edge, as well as the entry-level Toyota Camry.
In addition to the new engine variant, there’s new equipment and features across the range too. See below for more.
