The Range Rover Velar has been around for four years, so it's time for a mid-life nip-and-tuck.

The Range Rover Velar is in line for a makeover inspired by the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
The mid-sized SUV has been around since 2017 in its current form, so it’s due for a mid-life nip-and-tuck.
Based on these spy photos, that nip-and-tuck will be focused on bringing the car’s lighting details into line with the new Range Rover and smaller Sport.

Beneath the camouflage, it appears the LED lighting elements up front and down back have been smoothed out and slimmed down.
There’s funky tape covering the bumpers, suggesting detail changes are likely as part of the update. The current Velar isn’t exactly covered with slashes and strakes, but it’s a bit busier than the smooth-edged Rangie and Sport.
The Velar engine range has already been updated throughout its life to feature 48V mild-hybrid assistance, and a PHEV has already been revealed. It’s not clear what powertrain changes will come with its mid-life update.

Range Rover sold 569 examples of the Velar in Australia during 2021, and 645 in 2020.
To date in 2022 it’s the third-slowest seller in the Land Rover line-up, ahead of the Range Rover (which is between generations) and the Land Rover Discovery.
Jaguar Land Rover has battled supply shortages like the rest of the industry, meaning its sales results aren’t always an accurate representation of demand for its vehicles.
