Cupra Australia has detailed its 2024 Ateca, Formentor and Leon ranges, with all models adding DAB+ digital radio as standard – but prices are up by between $1200 and $2000.
We’ve detailed the Formentor changes here given it has received the most updates, so here we’ll focus on the Ateca and Leon.
In addition to the range-wide addition of a DAB+ radio tuner, the Leon VZe plug-in hybrid now offers the Leather and Sound Package in place of the old Leather Package.
The PHEV is now aligned with petrol models in offering the nine-speaker Beats premium audio system as an option, with the package priced at $2550 across the board.
Orders for the adjusted MY24 Cupra range will be “available shortly” for delivery late in the third quarter of 2023.
While the updated range will be available to order soon, Cupra’s local division has confirmed “significant MY23 stock at pre-adjusted pricing continues to arrive into the network”. Current and inbound stock can be viewed using the brand’s online stock locator.
News of the MY24 range comes after Cupra confirmed it has reached some 3000 orders to date as the Barcelona-based performance brand nears its first anniversary in Australia.
Of those total orders, 1000 or one-third are represented by electrified models including the Formentor and Leon VZe plug-in hybrids, as well as the recently launched Born electric car – accounting for 700 orders thus far.
