Impatient New Zealander makes his own DIY 'Cybertruck'

If you can’t wait for the Tesla Cybertruck to arrive next year, this homemade version is listed for sale with a starting price of less $500… or you can buy it now for $800. Bargain!

This Kiwi Cybertruck is based on a 2000 Toyota Vitz (also known as an Echo here in Australia), and the modifications were made after the donor car “rolled a few years back.”

The seller says the vehicle runs fine and even he admits that it is “debatable” whether it looks better than it did following the roll-over.

Every body panel is covered in metal sheets and the seller has fitted an LED light bar and attempted to mimic the Cybertruck’s character lines. The seller claims the “Cybertruck” has four-wheel drive and is equipped with mud tires.

Unlike the real deal Tesla, this ‘replica’ is fitted with a 1000cc four-cylinder internal-combustion engine producing a massive 50kW.
