Mahindra Pik-Up recalled

Mahindra has recalled the 2017-2019 S5 Pik-Up to fix a problem with the diesel particulate filter (DPF).

“One of the temperature sensors of Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) could fail. As a result, the vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may activate the limp home mode safety feature and cause a loss of motive power,” the brand’s recall notice says.

“A loss of motive power while driving could result in a gradual reduction of vehicle speed.

“If this occurs, the traffic behind the vehicle may not react in time increasing the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, and other road user.”

Mahindra has asked owners of the affected vehicles to reach out to their nearest dealer to arrange a free fix.
