Mazda Australia has recalled 565 examples of the MX-5 (ND) sports car due to a defect with its parking assist control unit.
“Due to a software issue, the parking assist control unit in the vehicle that detects obstructions when reversing may not operate as intended,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“If the obstruction while reversing the vehicle is not detected, it could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle.”
