Mercedes-Benz C-Class recalled
Almost 1500 examples of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class have been recalled due to a fault which could prevent its side airbags from deploying.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled 1465 examples of its C-Class to a fix an issue with the side airbags.
“Due to [the] operation of the seat back rest, the driver and passenger side airbag wiring harnesses may become damaged over time caused by seat adjustment,” the company said in its recall notice.
“This could impair the deployment of the side airbag installed in the seats.
“In the event of an accident, an airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”
- A total of 1465 vehicles built in 2023 are affected
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here

If you own an affected C-Class, you should contact your preferred Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
