Dutch company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit has released a Tesla Model 3 hearse for purchase in Europe.
Customers can purchase this two-seat Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD Dual Motor for €118,950 (AU$198,042).
Due to its added weight and inferior aerodynamics, the vehicle has a claimed 375km of range, down from 602km.
The Model 3 donor vehicle has been stretched by 866mm, with the hearse measuring 5560mm long.
The conversion takes the current front end, bumpers, front doors, side mirrors, lighting units and software from the Tesla Model 3 and adds a roof that has been aerodynamically designed and expansive side windows.
The vehicle’s unique body style also requires a customised tailgate to accomodate for its extra precious cargo.
Two small doors have been added to either side of the vehicle, which include extra storage.
Inside, a window separator has been added to separate the front two passengers and the rear passenger.
Electric side and rear curtains have been added for additional privacy as well as an illuminated starry sky roof that is customisable with colour-changing LED lights.
Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit gives its customers the option to add an extendable stainless steel flower rack, and an under-floor drawer for a scissor trolley.
This isn’t the first time a company has converted a Tesla to a hearse, with Coleman Milne having developed one from a Model S.
The UK firm also recently revealed one based on the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
