Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new Audi A3 is a Small Luxury offered in 5D Hatchback, 4D Hatchback, 2D Hatchback, 5D Convertible, 4D Convertible and 2D Convertible body styles. Available in Australia from $35,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $58,600 for the S Line.
There are 3 variants of the A3 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in November of 2016.
Engine options include 1.6L turbo diesel common rail (81kW/250Nm), 1.4L turbo petrol direct injection (110kW/250Nm), 1.0L turbo petrol direct injection (85kW/200Nm) and 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (140kW/320Nm). All variants feature manual transmission. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2017 A3 is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
