Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new BMW X1 is a Suv Small Luxury offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $49,500 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Xline variant and topping out at $62,100 for the M Sport.
There are 2 variants of the X1 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in January of 2015.
Engine options include 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (170kW/350Nm) and 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (110kW/330Nm). All variants feature 8-speed automatic transmission. Both four-wheel drive and front-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2016 X1 is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
