About the BYD Dolphin
Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new BYD Dolphin is a medium-sized car offered in a 5D Hatchback body style. Available in Australia from $36,890 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Dynamic variant and topping out at $49,990 for the Sport.
There are 3 variants of the Dolphin available in Australia and this generation went on sale in June of 2023.
The BYD Dolphin is only available with an electric motor that produces 70kW and 180Nm of torque. All variants feature front-wheel drive.
The new 2023 Dolphin is offered with a 6 year, 150,000 km warranty.
