2011-13 Jeep Grand Cherokee recalled

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been recalled due to an issue with the fuel pump relay.

The recall affects the first few years of the current WK2 generation’s run.

“The fuel pump relay on some vehicles may be susceptible to silicon contamination on the relay contacts. This can cause the relay to fail,” the company says in its recall notice.

This relay was installed as part of two previous recalls: PRA 2015/14645 and PRA 2014/14432.

The failure can cause the engine to stall or fail to start.

Should the engine stall while driving, there’s an increased risk of an accident that could result in injury or death.

FCA Australia is contacting all affected owners.
