Tesla has issued its second Model 3 recall in less than a week.
The 2018-20 Model 3 sedan has been recalled to fix a problem with the front seatbelts.
“The bolts of the front row seatbelt may not have been tightened sufficiently. In the event of an accident, if the seatbelt is not secured correctly it may not operate when required,” the recall notice says.
“This could increase the risk of injury or, in the case of a serious accident, increase the risk of death to vehicle occupants.”
Although the recall notice says it impacts the Model 3 and Model Y, the VIN list includes only Model 3s.
Tesla will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix.
