Peugeot’s local distributor Inchcape has issued two recalls for the MY19 Expert van, affecting a total of 67 vehicles.
The first recall relates to the rear brake hose, which “may become damaged over time, due to relative movement between the hose and holding clip”.
“If left unrepaired, brake fluid may leak resulting in a loss of braking efficiency. This may cause injury or death of vehicle occupants, other road users or cause property damage.”
The second recall focuses on the underbody fuel supply and return pipes, which also “may become damaged over time” as a result of “relative movement between the pipes and the body guidance ribs”.
“If left unrepaired, diesel fuel may leak from the damaged pipes onto the ground, causing a potential fire hazard. This may cause injury or death of vehicle occupants, other road users or cause property damage.”
In both cases, Peugeot Citroen Australia will contact all affected owners, who will be advised to contact their preferred dealer to arrange the inspection and repair of their Expert van.
