    BMW electric SUV prices slashed

    Up to $8900 has been trimmed from the prices of the BMW iX1 and iX2 small electric SUVs, with the former getting a Sport Collection special edition.

    The price of admission to BMW’s electric SUV lineup has been dramatically reduced, following substantial price cuts for the BMW iX1andiX2.

    Pricing for the 2026 BMW iX1 xDrive30 AWD has been reduced by $8900 to $77,900 before on-road costs, while pricing for the 2026 iX2 xDrive30 AWD has been trimmed by $7700 to $79,900 before on-roads.

    In addition, a new iX1 xDrive30 Sport Collection variant joins the lineup with national drive-away pricing of $79,900.

    Standard equipment for the new BMW iX1 xDrive30 Sport Collection includes:

    • Alpine White exterior finish
    • M Sport package
    • 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, double-spoke 871 M Bicolour
    • Adaptive M suspension
    • Black Veganza upholstery
    • Heated front seats
    • Head-up display
    • Surround-view camera
    • Driving Assistant Professional

    Available in a single specification here, all BMW iX1 and iX2 vehicles sold in Australia come with a dual-motor all-wheel drive (xDrive) powertrain outputting 230kW of power and 494Nm of torque. They feature a 64.8kWh lithium-ion battery.

    For MY26, all iX1 and iX2 vehicles receive silicon carbide (SiC) inverters, which BMW claims enhances performance, power density and battery range, although local performance and driving range figures are yet to be announced.

    The iX1 and iX2 were launched in Australia in 2023 and 2024 respectively, with the former becoming BMW’s best-selling electric vehicle (EV) over the past three years, while the iX2 was the second-best selling BMW EV in 2025.
