Not content with owning the mantle of Australia’s cheapest electric car, BYD has tonight confirmed it’ll bring a more powerful Dolphin Sport to Australia.
The electric hatch is coming in limited numbers, with just 1000 headed Down Under in 2024.
Although outputs haven’t been confirmed, the 100km/h sprint will take less than 7.0 seconds according to the boss of BYD’s local importer, EV Direct.

Priced at $49,890 before on-road costs, the Dolphin Sport is $11,000 more expensive than the base Dolphin also priced today.
