Chery Australia has recalled 1923 examples of the Tiggo 4 Pro, after discovering a fault with its autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system which makes the SUV non-compliant with Australian vehicle regulations.
“Due to a software issue, the vehicle may not have the autonomous emergency braking sound alarm activated,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“Vehicles are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 98/01 – Advanced Emergency Braking for Passenger Vehicles and Light Goods Vehicles.”
