Kia Australia is recalling 2667 examples of its Sorento SUV and Carnival people mover models due to a manufacturing defect that may cause a fuel leak.
This recall affects vehicles from the current MQ4 generation of Sorento and KA4 generation of Carnival sold in 2020.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, a fuel leak may occur from the low-pressure fuel line hose clamp,” says the company in its recall notice.
“If a fuel leak occurs, this may result in an engine compartment fire.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you should contact your local Kia dealership to schedule in a free fix.
If you have any further questions you can contact Kia Customer Service on 131 542.
