Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the 2022 A-Class to fix a problem with the tyres.
“The tyres within this production range may not meet manufacturing specifications which may lead to deflation of the tyre and/or the tyre tread could detach partially or completely whilst driving,” the recall notice says.
“This could result in a loss of vehicle control.”
“A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
Mercedes-Benz Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix.
