Spy photographers have captured a Porsche 911 with a notably higher suspension setting being tested at the Nürburgring.
This 911 was spotted wearing unusual wheel arch extensions that help partly disguise its higher ride height.
The tester appears to otherwise feature a regular 992 Carrera body.
Porsche doesn’t offer any 911 variants with suspension this high, though Porsche tuners such as RUF and Gemballa have revealed jacked-up 911 concepts.

Additionally, companies like Elephant Racing have been producing safari suspension packages for 911s for some time.
The name ‘safari’ in this context comes from Porsche’s participation in the East African Safari Rally, an event once part of the World Rally Championship calendar that involved cars criss-crossing Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Porsche entered 911s into the gruelling event during the 1970s, with 911s coming second and fourth in 1978.

Porsche isn’t the only sports car manufacturer that appears to be working on a higher-riding coupe.
Patent images have been shared of what appears to be a production-ready version of the Alpine A110 SportsX, featuring ground clearance 60mm higher than the regular A110.
