More than 1500 examples of the Toyota bZ4X are being recalled in Australia because the windscreen of the mid-size electric SUV could get too foggy.
“Due to a software programming issue, the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) electrical compressor may fail,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, the windscreen defrost function may not operate correctly and could lead to poor visibility for the driver.
“Poor visibility will potentially increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Toyota dealer to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.
