Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new Mazda CX-5 is a small SUV offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $27,800 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Maxx variant and topping out at $48,620 for the Grand Touring Tech Pack.
There are 5 variants of the CX-5 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in November of 2011.
Engine options include 2.0L petrol direct injection (113kW/198Nm), 2.5L petrol direct injection (138kW/250Nm), 2.0L petrol direct injection (114kW/200Nm) and 2.2L turbo diesel common rail (129kW/420Nm). Available with 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. Both four-wheel drive and front-wheel drive configurations are available.
The new 2012 CX-5 is offered with a 3 year, 100,000 km warranty.
