The new MG5 is a medium-sized car offered in a 4D Sedan body style. Available in Australia from $24,990 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Vibe variant and topping out at $28,990 for the Essence.

There are 2 variants of the MG5 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in April of 2024.

Engine options include 1.5L turbo petrol direct injection (117kW/250Nm), 1.5L turbo (117kW/250Nm), 1.5L multi-point injection (82kW/150Nm) and 1.5L in-line (82kW/150Nm). Available with 7-speed automatic or variable sp automatic transmissions. All variants feature front-wheel drive.

The new 2023 MG5 is offered with a 7 year, unlimited km warranty.
