Toyota C-HR EV confirmed for Australia as the brand’s cheapest EV yet
Toyota's electric C-HR will join its hybrid counterpart in local showrooms in 2027, and it's set to be the brand's most affordable EV.

Toyota Australia has detailed the pricing of its next-generation hybrid-only C-HR line-up with the range now starting with the C-HR GXL which is priced at $42,990 before on-roads, a staggering $11,275 more expensive than the pre-update non-hybrid GXL variant, and $4525 more expensive than the pre-update Koba Hybrid.
The 2024 Toyota C-HR range now extends all the way to $54,990 before on-roads for the GR Sport.
One reason why pricing for the C-HR has climbed so much when compared to the pre-update model is this new-generation model is now sourced from Turkey – which means it attracts import tariffs that don’t affect the outgoing, Japanese-made model.
