    The new Volkswagen Transporter is a Van Under 3.5t offered in Single Panel Van, Single Cab Chassis and Double Cab Chassis body styles. Available in Australia from $28,350 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $41,040 for the Base.

    There is 1 variant of the Transporter available in Australia.

    Engine options include 2L multi-point injection (62kW/159Nm), 2.5L multi-point injection (85kW/200Nm) and 2.5L turbo diesel direct injection (75kW/250Nm). Available with 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations are available.

    The new 2002 Transporter is offered with a 2 year, 60,000 km warranty.
