About the BMW 1 Series
Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new BMW 1 Series is a Small Luxury offered in a 5D Hatchback body style. Available in Australia from $36,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Sport Line variant and topping out at $64,930 for the Base.
There are 4 variants of the 1 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in July of 2014.
Engine options include 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (160kW/310Nm), 2.0L turbo (160kW/310Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (105kW/320Nm), 2.0L turbo (110kW/320Nm), 1.6L turbo petrol direct injection (125kW/250Nm), 1.6L turbo (130kW/250Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (235kW/450Nm) and 3.0L turbo (240kW/450Nm). Available with 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2015 1 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
