About the BMW 4 Series
Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new BMW 4 Series is a sports car offered in 2D Convertible, 5D Convertible and 5D Hatchback body styles. Available in Australia from $68,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Luxury Line variant and topping out at $128,000 for the M Sport.
There are 5 variants of the 4 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in November of 2015.
Engine options include 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (180kW/350Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (140kW/400Nm) and 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (225kW/400Nm). Available with 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2016 4 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
