The Volkswagen Polo is the latest vehicle to gain a special CityLife edition, bringing more standard equipment for a price tag of $32,790 before on-road costs.
That slots it neatly between the existing Life ($30,790 before on-roads) and Style ($34,790 before on-roads). Local showroom arrivals will commence from November 2025.
Over the Life, it gains 16-inch ‘Torsby’ alloy wheels that give it a sportier look than the 15-inch wheels used on the base model, as well as rear privacy glass.

It also gains the following features:
Additionally, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard. The base Life has also been updated for 2026 to include this wireless connectivity, though its pricing – as with the wider Polo range – is unchanged.
If you want items like Matrix LED headlights and the Digital Cockpit Pro digital instrument cluster, you’ll need to step up to the Polo Style.
Other standard equipment on both the Life and CityLife includes:
Like all Australian-market Polos bar the hot GTI flagship, the CityLife features a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine producing 85kW of power and 200Nm of torque, mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Claimed combined cycle fuel economy is 5.5L/100km.
The Polo is the third Volkswagen to get the CityLife treatment in Australia, following the T-Cross and T-Roc. Polo sales have slumped 50.6 per cent this year while the wider light car segment is only down by 14 per cent.
Volkswagen has delivered 578 Polos to the end of August, outpacing fellow Volkswagen Group light cars like the Audi A1 (297, up 80 per cent) and Skoda Fabia (210, down 15 per cent), but well below volume sellers like the Mazda 2 (2964, down 13 per cent).
