Audi has issued a recall for A4, A5, A6, Q7 and Q8 vehicles from model years 2018 to 2021 due to an issue with the seatbelt warning.
“The seatbelt warning (acoustic warning tone and visual display) may occasionally operate rather continuously, in circumstances such as a seatbelt not fastened or unfastened while the vehicle is moving,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If the warning does not sound continuously there is the possibility that a seat belt may be unbuckled and removed without the driver being sufficiently informed. In the event of an accident this may result in injury or death to an unrestrained occupant.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact an Audi dealer to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair.
For further information, you can contact Audi Australia on 1800 50 AUDI (2834) between 8:00am and 6:00pm AEDT.
