Ford is recalling 241 examples of its electric Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit as their charge cables aren’t correctly labelled.
“The charge cables fitted to the vehicles are missing the required Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) certification label specified by the Electrical Equipment Safety Systems / Australian Communications Media Authority, EESS/ACMA (RCM AS/NZS 4417.1),” the company says in its recall notice.
“In the absence of the necessary labelling, vehicles may not meet the required standards.
“There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.”
- A total of 241 vehicles are affected from 2022 to 2023

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact a Ford Australia dealership to have the charge cable replaced, free of charge.
