The Lexus NX450h+ plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV is once again available to order in Australia.
Lexus Australia has confirmed it has now fulfilled all outstanding orders for the mid-sized PHEV luxury SUV, and has shored up supply.
It says the pause allowed it to shore up PHEV supply “well into 2025 and beyond”.

“We thank the many hundreds of customers who placed an order for their outstanding loyalty and patience, and also extend our thanks to those who showed interest in NX plug-in hybrid in the interim,” said Lexus Australia boss John Pappas.
“The pause was to assist dealers in managing expectations and focus on providing a premium customer experience.
“We also worked extremely closely with our production teams in Japan to ensure we would have sufficient volume moving forward.”

The NX450h+ is offered in a single variant: the F Sport, equipped with Enhancement Pack 2, which is priced at $95,900 before on-road costs.
Lexus Australia has also confirmed it will make an announcement early next year as to whether it’ll introduce another plug-in hybrid SUV, the larger RX450h+.
The company announced it was suspending orders of the NX450h+ back in March 2023 and has only been taking expressions of interest since then, though it confirmed earlier this year it planned to reopen orders by year’s end.

The NX450h+ is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated with two electric motors, an 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT).
Total system output is 227kW, also making it the most powerful variant in the current lineup.
Lexus claims the NX450h+ has an electric-only range of 87km and combined cycle fuel economy of 1.3L/100km.
The company delivered 281 examples of the NX450h+ this year to the end of September.
