Mercedes-Benz C-Class recalled
A faulty alternator could cause a vehicle fire in the 2014-15 Mercedes-Benz C200. 10,063 vehicles are affected.

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 10,063 examples of its C-Class due to the risk of a vehicle fire.
This fault is limited to the 2014-15 C200.
“The vehicle alternator may fail under specific operating and ambient conditions. If the vehicle alternator overheats it may cause a vehicle fire,” the company says in its recall notice.
“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or bystanders, as well as property damage.”
This model was first recalled in August 2021 with 3278 examples affected, but this recall has been expanded.

If you own an affected vehicle, Mercedes-Benz will contact you in order to schedule a free fix at your nearest/preferred Mercedes-Benz dealership.
