Porsche Australia is recalling 1657 examples of the Taycan electric vehicle (EV), due to a fault which could result in reduced braking performance.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front brake hoses may be defective. This may lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in a reduction in braking performance,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.
“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
- A total of 1657 vehicles built between 2019 and 2024 are affected
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here

If you own an affected Porsche Taycan, you can contact your preferred Porsche dealer to arrange the repair of the EV, free of charge.
