Porsche has recalled around 43,000 examples of its Taycan and TaycanCrossTurismo worldwide to fix a problem that may cause power loss.
Porsche Australia is currently working out how many cars are involved locally. CarExpert will update this story when details are confirmed.
“In case of the affected vehicles, there is the possibility that in certain instances a shutdown of the power train, resulting in loss of motive power may be triggered incorrectly and sporadically,” the company says in its recall announcement.
“A software update will be installed in the workshop.”
The official Porsche press release says the update will take around an hour to complete.
