Last updated Sep 27, 2025The new BMW 3 Series is a Medium Luxury offered in 4D Convertible, 5D Convertible, 2D Convertible, 4D Sedan and 5D Sedan body styles. Available in Australia from $55,501 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Lifestyle variant and topping out at $152,301 for the M3.
There are 11 variants of the 3 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in November of 2008.
Engine options include 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (225kW/400Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (135kW/380Nm), 2.5L multi-point injection (160kW/250Nm), 3.0L turbo diesel common rail (180kW/520Nm), 2.0L multi-point injection (115kW/200Nm) and 4.0L multi-point injection (309kW/400Nm). Available with 6-speed automatic, 6-speed manual or manual transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2011 3 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
