About the BMW 3 Series
Last updated Sep 27, 2025The new BMW 3 Series is a sports car offered in 2D Sedan, 4D Sedan, 5D Sedan, 2D Convertible and 2D Coupe body styles. Available in Australia from $50,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $180,750 for the M3.
There are 12 variants of the 3 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in March of 2009.
Engine options include 2.5L multi-point injection (150kW/250Nm), 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (135kW/270Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (135kW/380Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (225kW/400Nm), 2.0L turbo multi-point injection (180kW/350Nm), 1.6L turbo petrol direct injection (100kW/220Nm), 3.0L turbo diesel common rail (180kW/520Nm) and 4.0L multi-point injection (309kW/400Nm). Available with 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 8-speed automatic or manual transmissions. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2013 3 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
