Last updated Sep 26, 2025The new BMW X5 is a Suv Large Luxury offered in a 5D SUV body style. Available in Australia from $99,900 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $209,900 for the M Competition.
There are 5 variants of the X5 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in July of 2019.
Engine options include 3.0L turbo diesel common rail (195kW/620Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (250kW/450Nm), electric motor (290kW/600Nm), 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (170kW/450Nm) and 4.4L turbo petrol direct injection (390kW/750Nm). All variants feature 8-speed automatic transmission. All variants feature four-wheel drive.
The new 2020 X5 is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
