Jaguar Land Rover Australia is recalling 1541 Discovery SUVs due to electrical faults.
“There may be insufficient contact of the startup battery ground stud to the chassis,” the company says in its recall notice.
“Vehicles may exhibit a range of electrical faults, including cutting out while being driven and losing all electrical power.
“This could increase the risk of an accident that may result in death or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
Jaguar Land Rover is contacting owners of affected vehicles.
If you own one, you’ll need to contact your preferred Land Rover dealership to organise a free replacement of the battery ground stud.
If you have any further questions, you can contact the Jaguar Land Rover Customer Relationship Centre on 1800 625 642. It’s open weekdays from 8am to 8pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
