Prices are up for the 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander, and a new blackops variant of the popular mid-size SUV has rejoined the range after a brief hiatus.

The Mitsubishi Outlander has entered 2026 with no mechanical or specification tweaks, but the Black Edition has returned, there's a new top-spec paint finish, and prices are up.
Mitsubishi's top-selling model – and its largest current SUV – still starts at $39,990 before on-road costs for the entry-level ES FWD five-seater, but prices are up by $750 across the rest of the range, from the five-seat ES AWD.
At the top of the range is still the five-seat Exceed Tourer AWD, which can now be had in a fifth two-tone paint option: Red Diamond with a Black Mica roof. This joins the existing four monochrome finishes and is a no-cost option.
The LS Black Edition is back for the first time since 2024, priced at $45,490 before on-roads, slotting between the mid-spec LS FWD and LS AWD. Like the other two Outlander LS trims, the Black Edition is only available with seven seats.

It adds a black grille, front and rear bumpers and door mirrors, and rides on unique 20-inch black alloy wheels. Further gloss-black exterior accents are found on the B- and C-pillars.
Inside, it gets a black headliner and black synthetic leather/Granlux upholstery. Only four exterior colours are available, comprising grey, black, white, and red.
The range continues to be powered by a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, sending power through an 'eight-speed' continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Front- and all-wheel drive options are available depending on the variant.
The SUV also maintains its Australian-developed suspension tune, which arrived as part of a mid-life update in 2025.

Mitsubishi Australia says the 2026 Outlander will arrive in dealerships in June this year.
It's worth noting that this minor update applies only to the purely combustion-powered Outlander, with the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model remaining separate. The Outlander PHEV lineup starts at $58,990 before on-road costs and, like the non-hybrid model range, features Australian tuning.
