Suzuki Australia and Suzuki Queensland have both issued recalls for the 2020 Ignis due to a fuel tank breather pipe defect.
“The fuel tank breather pipe may have been incorrectly moulded to the top of the fuel tank,” the companies say in their recall notice.
“The breather pipe may become detached by normal vibration of the vehicle.
“If breather pipe becomes detached and fuel leaks in the presence of an ignition source, this may cause a fire increasing the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

Suzuki is contacting owners of affected vehicles. If you own one, you’ll need to take it to a Suzuki dealer for a free inspection and repair.
