The Kia EV9 GT, the hottest member of the Korean brand’s full-size electric SUV lineup, will wear a price tag of $129,250 before on-road costs.
That makes the performance electric SUV the brand’s most expensive vehicle yet.
Arriving in showrooms “imminently”, the GT will sit atop the existing rear-wheel drive Air and all-wheel drive Earth and GT-Line variants, for which pricing is unchanged.
It’s $8250 more expensive than the GT-Line but produces 374kW of power and 740Nm of torque – up 91.4kW and 40Nm – with Kia claiming a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds, 0.8 seconds quicker than the GT-Line.

Compared to the GT-Line, with which it shares its 99.8kWh Long Range battery, it ekes out an extra 5km of electric range under the WLTP cycle at 510km.
In addition to more grunt and slightly more range, the GT features electronically controlled suspension – with a localised ride and handling tune – as well as upgraded brakes and an electronic limited-slip differential.
It’s distinguished externally by a digital LED grille with Kia’s ‘Star Map’ lighting, plus gloss-black 21-inch alloy wheels, behind which sit lime green brake calipers.
Inside, there are standard second-row relaxation seats – replacing the bench found in other EV9s – plus Alcantara inserts and various lime-green accents to match the brake calipers.

The EV9 GT was revealed back in November 2024, a year after the standard EV9 was launched in Australia, and was initially confirmed for a local launch in the second half of 2025.
Perhaps surprisingly, there’s been very little activity in the large, three-row electric SUV segment since the EV9 launched over a year ago.
It joined the much more expensive Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, which had arrived around a year prior. The EV9’s Hyundai cousin, the Ioniq 9, was launched in 2025, as was the Volvo EX90, and the Cadillac Vistiq is due here this year.
