Mercedes-Benz C-Class recalled

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 204 examples of its C-Class due to a software issue that may turn off the engine without warning.

This recall affects certain C-Class models sold in 2021.

“Due to a software issue the engine may turn off without warning and it may also prevent the vehicle from being restarted,” the company says in its recall notice.

“A sudden loss of engine power increases the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your nearest/preferred Mercedes-Benz dealer to arrange a free fix.
