The new Subaru Outback is a large SUV offered in a 5D Station Wagon body style. Available in Australia from $36,990 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $55,990 for the R Premium.

There are 4 variants of the Outback available in Australia and this generation went on sale in August of 2007.

Engine options include 2.5L multi-point injection (127kW/226Nm), 3.0L multi-point injection (180kW/297Nm) and 3L multi-point injection (180kW/297Nm). Available with 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmissions. All variants feature four-wheel drive.

The new 2009 Outback is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
