About the BMW 5 Series
Last updated Sep 27, 2025The new BMW 5 Series is a Large Luxury offered in both 4D Sedan and 5D Sedan body styles. Available in Australia from $80,400 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Luxury Line variant and topping out at $163,930 for the M Sport.
There are 2 variants of the 5 Series available in Australia and this generation went on sale in March of 2015.
Engine options include 4.4L turbo petrol direct injection (330kW/650Nm), 3.0L turbo diesel common rail (230kW/630Nm), 3.0L turbo petrol direct injection (250kW/450Nm), 2.0L turbo petrol direct injection (180kW/350Nm) and 2.0L turbo diesel common rail (140kW/400Nm). All variants feature 8-speed automatic transmission. All variants feature rear-wheel drive.
The new 2015 5 Series is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
