Kia is recalling almost 10,000 examples of its Picanto light car due to an issue with one of its alert chimes.
“If the rear fog lamp is switched ON after the ignition has been switched OFF and the driver’s door opened, the audible warning will not sound,” the company says in its recall notice.
“The vehicle is not compliant with Australian Design Rule 13/00.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a Kia dealership to have the instrument cluster software updated, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Kia on 131 542.
