Ford is recalling its 2019-23 Mustang as the pony car may not warn drivers of a lack of brake fluid.
“Due to a software issue, the brake fluid warning light may not illuminate as intended to warn the driver if the brake fluid level is low,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, insufficient brake fluid could lead to a reduction in braking performance.
“A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll be contacted by Ford Australia and asked to make an appointment with a Ford dealer to have the Body Control Module (BCM) software updated, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
